We learn ways of coping from groups we are in (family, friends etc). Sometimes what we have learned does not work that well in the rest of the world. Whatever the case, nobody learns everything, so nobody ever has all of the tools for life. It just depends how many we have lost out on.
At times learning about life is disrupted – then the tools we need are not learned properly and sometimes, not at all. Imagine if a carpenter has never learned to use a chisel because his attention was somewhere else when the lesson was given.
